Bluebell and Periwinkle come to be backed

Bluebell and Periwinkle, two four year old ponies, have come back to the Centre from their foster homes to continue their training.

They are now being backed to prepare them to be riding ponies and they are both being very relaxed about it all.

Periwinkle, the only pony to have been born at the Exmoor Pony Centre, took to walking around wearing a saddle without giving it a second thought.

Periwinkle with Linzi on - and in - the saddle,
and Kestra at her  head.

Scotland's Ponies in the Paper

Thanks to the terrific efforts of volunteer Liz, the ponies on Traprain near Edinburgh are becoming quite famous.

Two of them made the newspapers last week.

The East Lothian News carried a picture of Bob and Midnight with their favourite bucket.

Exmoor Pony Festival Pleasure Ride

On Sunday, the final day of the Festival, several volunteers from the Pony Centre took part in the Pleasure Ride across the Moor. A lovely finish to a great week of events.

The photo was sent by Tricia who says,

Thought you might like this shot Peter took for the blog -Janey and Rama followed by Pauline and Fudge on the downhill run, Abbi and I were further back up the slope in front of the glamorous palomino. It was a great day made even better by perfect weather!
