Exford Show

It was a cold, wet and misty day - just as it always seems to be for Exford Show!

The visitor numbers may have been down but the rain failed to dampen the spirits of exhibitors and competitors who, with customary Exmoor sangfroid, ignored the weather and just got on with the show.

And it was a good opportunity to meet and talk, even if we couldn't always see the ponies for the mist.

Porlock Country Fair

It was a lovely summer day, a glorious setting in Porlock Recreation Ground surrounded by the slopes of Hawkcombe, and locals and holiday-makers alike turned out in huge numbers.

All in all it was a really successful day. Sales were good. We handed out lots of leaflets, spoke to lots of people and, hopefully, persuaded some of them to come up to visit us at the Centre.

Cream Teas & Sunshine

It was a beautiful hot sunny day so our first Cream Tea event of the summer had to compete with the irresistible attraction of an afternoon on the beach.

Even the ponies were dozing off in the heat.

Nevertheless, we had a steady flow of visitors to enjoy pony rides and refreshments.
