September Newsletter

Although we have had a great summer full of visitors and generous spenders, the Exmoor Pony Centre is still in dire need of extra funds to see the ponies through the winter as that is the time of highest expenditure and least income. If you can spare a large or small donation, please do not hesitate to get in touch on 01398 323093 or via info@exmoorponycentre.org.uk.

We will be holding various fundraising events/evenings so keep a look out for posters and information to come and join in the fun.
This month is your last opportunity to buy raffle tickets in the hope of winning CASH prizes in our Grand Draw; tickets are just £1 each (or £10 for a book) and the prizes are 1st £500 2nd £200 and 3rd £100. Tickets can be bought via our on line shop via moorlandmousietrust.org.uk/shop.php or direct from the Centre so don’t miss out; the draw will be held on 31st October!
Our Halloween event will be held at the Centre on Thursday 29th October from 11 till 3 during the half-term holiday; a variety of pony-based activities as well as refreshments will be available. After that our ridden ponies will go off for a well-earned break but a few of them will return for the special Christmas Weekend on 12th and 13th December when the ponies welcome children to join them on a ride, enjoy lots of Christmas fun and receive a present from the Christmas elves; early bookings are essential for that weekend.
If you know anyone in close reach of Hexhamshire there will be a Pleasure Ride held there on Sunday 11th October in aid of The Moorland Mousie Trust. It will be a 10 mile route through woods, tracks, moors and grassland with optional jumps & spectacular scenery, suitable for all abilities. Starting between 10am and 12.30.  Further details and application form available from moorlandmousietrust.org.uk/events.php

Thinking ahead, for any pony themed Christmas presents please visit the Centre or look at our online shop; there is a large selection of ideas at a variety of prices. Why not adopt a pony for someone or join them up to our 100 Club. Thank you to everyone who supports these precious rare breed ponies.
