Activity Days at the Exmoor Pony Centre

At our annual Pancakes and Ponies Event held in February half term, our wonderful volunteers served an awful lot of pancakes and lots of people came to join in the fun; enjoying pony rides, grooming and, of course, pancakes! The day raised over £500 which will go towards the up-keep of the ponies.

Pancake Day - Almost sold out!

We also held our Easter Open day on Sunday 5th April which brought in the crowds. The weather was fabulous and all the ponies were on top form.

Kestra and her team of volunteers gave over 70 pony rides and Tom was groomed until he was super shiny. These fundraising days are so vital as they not only bring in much needed pennies but they also engage with the wider public and help to make the Exmoor pony breed more accessible; ensuring more people can fall in love with this wonderful native breed!

On Saturday 4th April Tom was taken by Linzi to South Molton Wildlife Day held in the Pannier Market. South Molton was thriving with visitors and Tom was admired by lots of people. This is a great way for us to spread the word about our charity and the Exmoor Pony breed and to engage with our local communities.

  1. Its great to see the wonderful photos from your Events - and the ponies look as if they really enjoy getting involved! Congrats to everyone in the Green Room on Pancake Day - hard work which is really appreciated by us all. Linzi, Kestra, Amanda, Tom with the extra shiny coat.... and all the volunteers and ponies at the Centre work so hard - in the way that Exmoors work and know best - from the heart.....!
